SKIN/PROFHILO

image of model with great skinProfhilo is an injectable skin treatment made from hyaluronic acid, but it’s different from traditional dermal fillers. While fillers are designed to "fill" wrinkles and plump specific areas, Profhilo works by stimulating collagen and elastin production. The result is smoother, more hydrated, and youthful-looking skin.

It's often referred to as a "biorevitalization" or "skin booster" treatment. The hyaluronic acid in Profhilo spreads throughout the skin tissues, creating a natural lifting effect. It’s particularly popular for areas with loose or sagging skin, such as the face, neck, décolletage, and hands.

How it Works

  • Injection: Profhilo is injected into the deeper layers of the skin, typically in a series of five points along the treatment area (like the face).
  • Hyaluronic Acid: The hyaluronic acid in Profhilo is unique because it’s designed to be highly cross-linked and stable, allowing it to spread evenly under the skin. It draws moisture to the skin and gradually stimulates collagen and elastin production.
  • Natural Effect: Unlike dermal fillers, Profhilo doesn’t just fill wrinkles. It works with your skin’s natural processes to improve tone, texture, and elasticity. Results are typically gradual, becoming more visible over the course of a few weeks.
  • Minimal Downtime: The procedure is relatively quick (usually around 30 minutes) with minimal downtime. Any swelling or redness typically fades within a few hours.

Best Candidates for Profhilo
The best candidates for Profhilo are generally those who want to rejuvenate their skin without opting for more invasive procedures. Ideal candidates include:

  • - Individuals with mild to moderate skin aging: Profhilo is great for those noticing fine lines, loss of elasticity, or sagging in areas like the face, neck, or hands.
  • - People with dry or dehydrated skin: The hyaluronic acid helps replenish moisture, which is great for individuals who feel their skin is looking dull or tired.
  • - Younger people looking for prevention: Some people in their late 20s or early 30s might choose Profhilo as a preventive measure to maintain skin elasticity and prevent future signs of aging.
  • - Those who want a more subtle result: Unlike some cosmetic procedures that provide instant volume or lift, Profhilo delivers a natural-looking, gradual enhancement. It’s perfect for those who prefer a “glow-up” rather than an obvious transformation.

Not Ideal for:

  • - People with severe skin laxity or deep wrinkles: Profhilo is more of a skin rejuvenation treatment than a solution for dramatic lifting.
  • - Those with active skin conditions: If you have active acne, rosacea, or any inflammatory skin issues, you might want to wait until your skin has healed before considering Profhilo.

Questions we're often asked

Most patients require 2 sessions, spaced about 4 weeks apart, to achieve optimal results. After the initial treatments, some people choose to have a maintenance session every 6–12 months, depending on their skin’s needs.
Profhilo is a minimally invasive procedure with minimal downtime. You might experience slight redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites, but these usually disappear within a few hours. You can return to your daily activities right away.
Results begin to appear after about 2–4 weeks, as the skin starts to look smoother, more hydrated, and plumped. The full effects can take up to 6–8 weeks to fully manifest, with improvements continuing over time.
Most patients describe the treatment as mildly uncomfortable but not painful. A numbing cream may be applied before the injections to reduce any discomfort. The needles used are very fine, so pain is typically minimal.
Profhilo is commonly used on areas of the face, such as the cheeks, jawline, and under-eye area, as well as on the neck, décolletage, and hands. It’s particularly effective for areas showing signs of aging, dryness, or skin laxity.
